Apartment Rental Lease

An apartment rental lease refers to a written document by which the owner of an apartment leases out the property to a tenant who gets the rights to use the property by paying a rent for a particular period. Both the landlord and the tenant have to agree to certain conditions, failing to do which will lead to a violation of the contract and the lease can be terminated. The lease document should contain points like the rent and security amount to be paid by the tenant, the lease period, notice period and any other terms and conditions to be followed in order to maintain a smooth relationship between owner and tenant.

Name of tenant: Jensen Thomas

Address: 232 Moody Lane, Dallas

Apartment details: Apt 232, Elysian Fields Complex, New York

The apartment rental lease contract has been signed on February 19, 2012 by the landlord/owner of the property mentioned above and the tenant who hereby agrees to pay a monthly amount of $1,200 per month for the leased apartment for a duration of 11 months.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The landlord has to ensure that the apartment follows all the safety and health codes
  • The tenant must take care of the apartment and allow inspections
  • The tenant has to pay the landlord $5,000 as a refundable security deposit and both parties have to give an advanced notice of 30 days to terminate the contract.
