Landlord Lease Termination Letter

A landlord lease termination letter is a letter of termination which is used to terminate a landlord lease agreement which was formed between two parties: the lessor and the lessee. These letters are written by one party to another in order to lay down the terms and conditions of the termination of the lease.

The landlord lease termination letter is a formal and legally binding document which consists of details which are enforceable by law. Given below is a sample of a landlord lease termination letter that can be taken into use by anyone for the purpose of reference.

This letter is to inform you that the agreement signed between you, the LESSEE and me, the LESSOR is nearing its termination date which is 1st July 2012. I request you to vacate the residential property before the termination date.

The following were some of the details of the landlord lease agreement that was made between us.

Commencement date of lease: 1st July 2010

Termination date of lease: 1st July 2012

Effective period: 24 months

Lease payment per month: $700

Unpaid amount: $700 (for the last month rent)

The following are the clauses of the termination of this landlord lease:

  • The LESSEE will have to vacate the premises before the termination date. In case the LESSEE doesn’t vacate the property, he shall be forced to do so.
  • The LESSEE must make the due payments one week before the termination date.
  • The LESSEE must leave the premises in a proper clean condition and should fix all the repairs as well.
  • The LESSOR can put the property on lease from the termination date onwards.
