Lease Rent Agreement

A lease rent agreement is a clause that lays down the monthly or annual rental charge that a tenant is entitled to pay the owner while holding lease over a certain property. It states the legal terms and conditions that the parties have to endorse until the termination of the lease. This kind of agreement should essentially delineate the terms associated with a property taken on rental lease.

Sample Lease Rent Agreement

This document is a rental agreement between the owner, Sarah Marshall and tenant, Malcolm Stevens. The property located at 7, Private Drive, San Francisco is leased for duration of 12 months from September 1, 2012 to September 1, 2013, after which the lease may be terminated or renewed as per the agreement between the tenant and the owner. A security deposit of $650.00 is to be paid through a demand draft by March 15, 2012, which will be refunded at the end of the lease.

The tenant is liable to pay a monthly rent of $150 that should be deposited to the account of the owner by the 5th of every calendar month, on failing a late fine of $15 may be charged upon the lessee. On commencement of the lease, the tenant will be responsible for the utilities and services: water, electricity, sewer and gas and also for the maintenance of the property. The premises must be used for residential purposes only. It cannot be sublet without the consent of the owner.

Violation of the stated terms and conditions may result in legal penalization of the erring party.
