A room lease agreement is a document which outlines the main conditions on which a room will be leased by the lessor to the lessee. It is a legally valid document and any breach of contract can have serious legal repercussions. It is document which must be accurate, no nonsense and precise. Every term must be clearly stated so ensure complete transparency.

The following is the room lease agreement which underlines the decision reached between Mr. Brian Vickers of 34 Jordan Street New York [henceforth referred to as the lessor] and Miss. Esther Summerton of Kennings Avenue, New Jersey [henceforth referred to as the lessee], regarding the leasing of a room in the former’s apartment to the latter. The duration of the room lease is two years. The date of commencement of the efficacy of the lease is 15th June 2011 and the date of termination of the same is 15th June 2013. The room lease also states that the room shall be sued by the lessee for occupancy only and any breach of this particular term shall result in legal action being taken against the lessee. The room in question is Room Number 34 in the lessor’s apartment and it is of the area of 400 square feet. It has an attached kitchen and an en suite bathroom.

The terms and conditions must be read carefully and understood by both lessor and lessee. Any dispute arising out of this lease agreement shall be tried by the Court of New York.
